Leonard I. Grossweiner, Ph.D.  is a professor emeritus of physics at the Illionois Institute of Technology  and the research director of the Wenske Laser Center of Advocate/Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center in Chicago.  His current research interests include tissue optics, biological photosensitization, and PDT.  He is a   founding member and  former chairman of the Division of Biological Physics of the American Physical Society, a former chairman of the U.S. National Committee on Photobiology, and a past-president of the American Society for Photobiology.  He is presently vice president of the  Midwest Bio-Laser Institute.
