Abstract
A tutorial on Time-Resolved Near-IR Phosphorescence Detection (TRPD) is presented. TRPD has established itself as the spectroscopic tool of choice for monitoring singlet oxygen. Detailed procedures for obtaining reliable singlet oxygen data from the very first day in the lab are provided, placing the emphasis on the techniques and methods rather than on the theoretical aspects.
