This hypertext is a very first draft of a developing document, which
is intended to help people who are new to the field of time resolved pulsed
photoacoustics of liquids and are interested in knowing more about it.
The aim of this document is giving an overview of the methodology and the
fundamentals of the technique.
At the moment only some parts have been "almost" completed, whereas
methods have been only listed as titles but not yet elaborated. I
hope this part will be ready after the summer.
This work is not intended to be comprehensive of all applications and
possible implementations, howeverI hope it will provide a broad overview
and give some practical hints in order to avoid known pitfalls, which are
several.
The text is intended to be kept "alive" by periodical updating and
become a user's forum.
The author asks for help from researchers working in the field, so
that important technical aspects will not be left out.
People are encouraged to send me criticisms, comments, feedback of
any kind and point out important concepts that have been forgotten, in
order to get the product to a "reasonably good stage". Everyone contributing
to the improvement of this hypetext will be duely acknowledged.
I apologize in advance for all of the important things missing in the
draft at this stage, also due to the usual overwhelming duties every academic
is loaded with.
