2.  Methods   

This section gives an overview of  the possible applications of time-resolved pulsed photoacoustics to the determination of thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of photophysical and photochemical events.
The intent of this section is to give some examples and not to be comprehensive.

It is important to state that this methodology is not analytical in nature and needs to be complemented by other spectroscopical techniques in order to identify the observed transients.

However, it is not uncommon that time-resolved PA case detects transients that are not observable with other optical techniques.  For these intermediates the PA technique becomes a unique tool for their characterization.
